But we’re about to change that.
I’ve been interested in 3D art long before VR became a reality. I was obsessed with my Viewmaster as a kid, and in college I loved playing around with Holga’s 3D Stereo Camera. Now that VR is expanding outside a niche market (now that I have subject matter people care about…) I figured it’s the perfect time to expand on the hobby!
The last few months of research have been pretty depressing as there hasn’t been any prosumer-level VR equipment on the market. But then, late last year, Canon released an amazing piece of technology called the RF 5.2mm F2.8 L Dual Fisheye Lens. I found the lens on a rental website and leapt into action.
Without proper equipment, I was forced to improvise, fashioning some janky-ass rigs from string, wood, and some old TV brackets.
Diana helped with a few sexy camera tests. She played around on the bed, took a shower, and shaved her nethers while a giant pair of mechanical eyeballs recorded every move.
The results were pretty stunning, so we fooled around in bed a couple times and filmed that too!
As I feared, the cumbersome equipment definitely impedes the natural flow of sex. Since real-life intimacy is our specialty, we decided not to fight the obstacles, but to embrace them… if that means we have to go down on each other with metal bolts an inch from our faces, then we’ll include that in the video too!
Like all our content, the final product is far from perfect. But there’s no doubt in either of our minds that watching these videos in a VR headset increases the intimacy tenfold. The videos truly put you in bed with us, allowing you to not merely watch two people having sex, but to experience the connection as if you’re actually there.
Thanks to a busy weekend and Diana’s health issues, we were only able to scratch the surface with the 3D camera. But the results are clear: With a little work, the possibilities for amateur VR porn are endless.
